Federal Firearms Licensees of Illinois et al v. Pritrzker et al case transfered

Late last week, a case was filed in Crawford County, and the State Police Director Brendan Kelly filed a motion to combine that case in federal court along with the ILGRA case, the ISRA case, and the NSSF case. There was some concern that the case would be consolidated under an Obama-appointed judge, even though the ISRA’s case was the set's low-number case (first filed). Assigning to a judge other than the judge assigned the low-number case would have been extremely rare. This attempt at consolidation by Directory Kelly seems like judge shopping, but the attempt was thwarted.

Today the chief judge of the southern district of Illinois, Nancy J. Rosenstengel, put out an order consolidating the cases under Judge McGlynn, a Trump appointee. We applaud the court for remaining true to its own practice. The order is below.
